I visited on the first day of this two-day Wings and Wheels event and enjoyed the displays under mostly sunny skies. Sadly, the following day’s displays at Dunsfold Aerodrome were rained off. Particularly welcome were the two Vampires and MiG-15 of the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squardron.

The flying was spectacular but I have mixed feeling about the commentary team. Mervyn Hiscock and Brendan O’Brien offer a sensible balance of facts and humour, but their banter and in-jokes become tiresome. Other air shows have moved to a more personal single-commentator format.
