This historic airport, built in 1942 for the Royal Canadian Air Force and later used by the Hawker Aircraft Company as a test centre, will soon be redeveloped for housing. After fifteen years, this was the last ever weekend of air displays at Dunsfold.
Wings and Wheels was brought forward from its usual slot at the end of August to include the Red Arrows, who leave for their American tour in July. The heavy rain showers didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the participants as they put together a fitting farewell.
