I sat on the beach on Thursday and Friday watching and photographing this free airshow. On Sunday, I visited Shoreham, where many of the Airbourne 2016 display acts were based for the event.

Orientation
The display line is over water, running south-west to north-east, with the crowd facing south-east. The sun starts in front of the crowd but crosses behind, to the right, at about 15:00. Crowd centre is by the Wish Tower.
