Following a transatlantic flight of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum‘s Avro Lancaster “Vera”, this was the first public display of that aircraft and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Lancaster. During this “2 Lancs” event, the pair went on to thrill crowds around the country for the next six weeks.

Orientation

The display line for the Eastbourne airshow is over water, running south-west to north-east, with the crowd facing south-east. The sun starts in front of the crowd but crosses behind, to the right, at about 15:00. Crowd centre is by the Wish Tower.
