It was a cloudy day for my local airshow, which opened with a one-minute silence for the victims of last week’s crash at the Shoreham airshow. New rules banning high energy aerobatics of vintage aircraft limited a MiG-15 to performing its flat display.
A BBMF Spitfire flew in formation with an RAF Typhoon, also painted in WWII-era livery, to celebrate seventy-five years since the Battle of Britain.
