The usual mix of seaside airshow participants, including Aerosuperbatics (only one Boeing Stearman) and the Jet Pitts (without the jets). The BBMF flew their Lancaster and two Hurricanes, and the Norwegian Historic Flight brought their Vampire. My highlight was the Mustang “Moonbeam McSwine”, a new addition to the fleet of historic warbirds based at Biggin Hill.

Orientation
The display line for the Eastbourne airshow is over water, running south-west to north-east, with the crowd facing south-east. The sun starts in front of the crowd but crosses behind, to the right, at about 15:00. Crowd centre is by the Wish Tower.
